The Consortium for the Protection and Guaranteed Quality of Honey, the CRAVA Association and the Brisaula Association were started to promote and protect the quality of the traditional local food products of the Verbano Cusio Ossola Province – honey, goat’s cheese and bresaola – guaranteeing the quality and the origin of the raw materials, the greatest care in the production process, and of course the excellence of the end product and its organoleptic characteristics.
The associations originated with support from the project “Lake Maggiore, its Valleys, its Flavours”, headed by the province’s Chamber of Commerce, and bring together producers and animal breeders from the Verbano Cusio Ossola working in close collaboration to enhance the quality of the province’s traditional products.
These traditional products are an expression of the identity of our area, and a means of publicising the province; maintaining high standards of quality enhances the area’s reputation and at the same time ensures that consumers are offered products of excellence which are second to none.
