Monte Verità Literary Events is back in 2020, a festival that will be repeated from 2013, which aims to recreate the atmosphere of lively cultural debate that characterized the early 1900s.

This year's edition, which will take place from April 2 to 5, will instead look to the Future, evoking in the title "Grandi Speranze" ("Great Expectations") the famous novel by Charles Dickens and celebrating one of the greatest creators of narrative imagery and critical investigators of modernity. It will be an opportunity to reflect on the enormous social and cultural transitions we are experiencing and the ability to measure ourselves against the future.

The opening and closing meeting will take place at the PalaCinema in Locarno, and the evening meetings on Friday and Saturday at the Teatro del Gatto in Ascona.
