The MA*GA museum in Gallarate will host the exhibition entitled "ARMIN LINKE. Moltiplicazioni", curated by Emma Zanella, from 11th November 2018 to 24th February 2019.
To highlight the uniqueness and complexity of a journey undertaken by the entire religious and civil community of Gallarate, the MA*GA museum and San Cristoforo pastoral community entrusted Armin Linke with the task of expressing through pictures the exceptional nature and complexity of a wide-ranging and challenging project. In addition to restoration of the Basilica, the project included restoration of the Faietto and spaces dedicated to the Mensa del Buon Samaritano (community kitchen), remodelling of sites that will house a charity centre named Casa della Carità, as well as updating the presbyterial area in line with conciliar provisions. Armin Linke accepted the challenge, approaching it with an attentive eye and little interest in the aesthetic qualities of the photographs, focusing instead on the relationship between the spiritual and artistic quests, on the ethical commitment made by an entire community and the concept that art today can be a highly communicative sacred language.
