Description

Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Rocca di Angera will be open every day from 24th March to 22nd October 2017.

The luminous “San Rocco”, painted on wood by the sixteenth-century master Sperindio Cagnoli, will welcome visitors to Palazzo Borromeo on Isola Bella. This beautiful painting, donated to the island’s parish by the Borromeo family at the end of the nineteenth century, was temporarily returned to the family to allow for its restoration.

The restored “San Rocco” has already taken pride of place along the visitor route of Palazzo Borromeo on Isola Bella.
