The new year on lake Maggiore starts with Maggiore Music Festival, under the artistic direction of Maestro Andrea Bandel.
The program, rich in monthly meetings, presents six events dedicated to classical chamber music, symphonic music and to opera.
The Festival opens on January 2nd with the concert of the young symphony orchestra "Antonio Vivaldi", with music by Strauss, Brahms, Smetana, Dvorak.
- February 11th, La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi
- March 24th, the great harmonica player Willi Burger, accompanied on piano by Clara Schembari
- April 1st, The 4 Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi
- April 15th, the famous musical tale Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev
- May 6th, the opera the Barber of Seville by Gioachino Rossini.
Season tickets and single tickets can be purchased at Il Maggiore Events Center and the Office IAT Tourist information, or online on the official website of the theater.
