Programme

"Tones on the Stones”, the music festival set in the quarries of Ossola Valleys, returns with the 2016 edition, from July, 23 to July, 30.
The concerts will be hosted this year in the spectacular setting of the gneiss quarry in Trontano.

The festival of theater, music and dance takes place every summer in unusual and fascinating stone theaters that are transformed for the occasion into real stages.

The quarries, usually workplaces, are carefully arranged so that they can accommodate the public and support the shows in a really suggestive setting.

  • Saturday, July 23, 9.30 pm:
    Intra Montes - Laic chant by Ramberto Ciammarughi
    Carmina Burana by Carl Orff

  • Thursday, July 28, 9.30 pm: Puccini's Turandot

  • Friday, July 29, 9.00 pm: NeXTones - The section of Tones on the Stones Festival dedicated to digital arts and new types of music takes place even this year with a selection of national and international artists.
    Audience will be totally immersed in these emotional performances during which people can also dance. The performances will be played until late at night.

  • Saturday, July 30, 9.30 pm: Happy Birthday Tones on the Stones!
    For the tenth year of the Festival, Tones on the Screens ch. II is a tribute to American cinema and to the soundtracks by Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Danny Elfmann, played by Lviv Philarmonic Symphony Orchestra.


Food Carousel
The gastronomic festivals linked to the Street Food: High quality local products, research and creativity will accompany the festival days thanks to a small village adjacent to the site.
