Programme

From 9 to 11 December, the charming alpine hamlet of Santa Maria Maggiore, in the Vigezzo Valley, will host the traditional Christmas market, the biggest in all the Piedmont region and one of the most beautiful in Italy. For the occasion, more than 200 exhibitors will display their products and creations.

During the three days of festivities the local craftsmen will open the doors of their workshops, allowing everyone to get in touch with the craft traditions of the Vigezzo Valley. Splendid decorations, Christmas carols and traditional food will enrich the event.

On the occasion of the market, special races of the Vigezzina Railway are scheduled by appointment to reach Santa Maria Maggiore (for further information www.vigezzina.com – + 39 0324 242055).

Alternatively, there will also be bus trips, operating on 9, 10 and 11 December and organized by Becoming Ossola (for further information www.becomingossola.com)
