In Malesco is the Ecomuseum “Ed Leuzerie e di Scherpelit” (of the soapstone (steatite) and stonemasons) that allows to discover, through resources spread in the territory, the use of stone in these places as an irreplaceable material and cultural element.

The resources of the Eco museum are numerous and situated in the entire valley. The most important are:
•    The Archaeological Museum of soapstone in Malesco
•    The Ancient Mill “Mulino del Ta?” in Zornasco
•    The Wash in Malesco of late 19th century
•    The previous Hospital Trabucchi, headquarter of the Eco museum, of associations, library and Tourist information .
•    Whitewash kilns in the Loana valley.
•    The WWF Oasis of Pian dei Sali in Finero.
•    Monuments to the  Chimney sweep, the “Alpino (Italian Alpine Troops) and the War Memorial in Finero.
•    The architectural complex in piazza della Chiesa

The central element is the Archaeological Museum of the soapstone of the Val Grande National Park. The museum combines archeology and ethnography collecting important pieces found in Vigezzo, giving particular emphasis to the tools of daily work and the products of the ability of local stonemasons, tracing the history of the exploitation of soapstone in these places.

The museum is housed in a former palace, now fully restored, which hosted the trial court of the Vigezzo Valley and the Inquisition Tribunal. The layout of the museum offers the possibility of self-guided tours through multimedia devices. The geological section explores some peculiarities of Val Vigezzo and provides insights to understand the formation and characteristics of soapstone.
