A new way to re-discover art and culture has been created in the wonderful setting of Lake Maggiore with Le domeniche dell'arte [art sundays], an initiative by the non-profit cultural organisation Segni del tempo which starts on 31st August and will continue until 28th September 2008. Five new events, at Villa Erica in Baveno, a splendid 19th century historic villa today Altea Headquarters, allowing visitors to follow an artistic and cultural path based on the five senses. From Sunday 31st August for five Sundays, Villa Erica will host 100 works of art by emerging artists such as Erio Grosso, Lucio Betto, Eva Tonelato, Fulvio Martini, Filippo Biagioli, Renzo Rovoletto and Davide Crisafulli. In addition to the display, depending on the sense, activities and events in theme such as concerts expositions and performances will take place. There will also be room for culinary delights from the areas such as Gavi DOCG wine by Magda Pedrini, which will be an added work of art available at every scheduled event.
