Third edition of one of the most highly awaited events of the summer season on the shores of Lake Maggiore: we are of course speaking about the Baveno Notte Bianca (white night). The 2008 edition promises to be even richer and more fun with added shows, exhibitions and an array of children's events.Throughout the night from 8pm on Saturday 9th August until 7am the following morning, from the lakefront to the Old Town centre, Baveno will host this great celebration, where artistic vitality and culture will join together in an offering of concerts, shows, children's games and lots of sport.Like every white night, organised by the Baveno Council with the Pro Loco and Emergency, its main priority is to offer support to the Salam Hospital in Khartoum, Sudan. For a whole night Baveno will become a town of solidarity, where visitors can stroll through the town streets enjoying the nocturnal events of a contemporary and multicultural nature.Art exhibitions, local artisan displays, beach volleyball competitions and climbing trials will all take place at the same time as live concerts and theatre whilst the younger attendees can enjoy didactic workshops and theatrical entertainment dedicated to them.The complete programme of Notte Bianca is available at the following link:www.nottebaiancabaveno.it
