NewsGala Dance on Lake Maggiore

Saturday 28th August - Verbania Pallanza

Gala Dance on Lake Maggiore

On Saturday 28th August 2010 there will be an exceptional evening on the lakeside of Verbania Pallanza. From 9 pm we can see the exhibition of one of the most famous and talented ballet dancers of the world: Raffaele Paganini.

During the exhibition there will be passionate tangos, traditional dances of southern Italy, such as “tarantella” or “pizzica”, and spectacular choreography of contemporary dance. This journey through passion and tradition will end on the notes of Sirtaki, a popular Greek dance which tells us stories about far lands and enchanting places through the eyes of a man travelling around the world in order to discover himself.

Paganini and his company perform on the covered stage near Palazzo di Città, with the extraordinary participation of Luigi Martelletta, a famous dancer of the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome. In the case of bad weather, the ballet will be held inside the Congress Palace in Stresa.

Free admission.
