From 1st June to 28th November 2010 the exhibition “Marilyn Monroe – L’arte della Bellezza” will be on display at Villa Ponti in Arona.

The curators of the exhibition, Carlo Occhipinti and Massimo Ferrarotti, wanted to pay homage to this American myth by displaying more than a hundred paintings, sculptures and photographs by the most popular artists worldwide.

Marilyn’s shoes, dresses and purses will also be exhibited as well as her famous personal portraits by pop-art artist Wahrol.

Moreover, poems dedicated to her by the Italian writer Alda Merini and photographs by American fashion and celebrity photographer Bert Stern will be exhibited.

Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays and Sundays and holidays: from 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.; from 2.30 to 7.30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays: from 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2.30 to 22.00 p.m.

Tickets: adults 6 €; concessions 5 €; children (6-12 years old) and school trips 1,50 €
