News“Waiting for LetterAltura 2010” Film Festival
Starting from tonight, the Film Festival “Waiting for LetterAltura” will project, until 18th April 2010, four movies on the theme “Mountains”.
Tomorrow night it’s the turn of the well-famous film “The story of the Weeping- Camel”, directed by the Mongolian director Byambasuren Davaa, which tells the story of a family of nomadic sheperds in the Gobi desert, that struggles to save the life of a rare white camel calf, who was rejected by its mother.
On Wednesday 7th April, the traditions of the Valtellina vineyards are described in the documentary “Rupi di vino” by Italian director Ermanno Olmi, while on Wednesday 21st April the Festival will pay tribute to Karl Unterkircher, the popular Italian alpinist who died in 2008 on the Nanga Parbat, with the movie “Karl”.
Last but not least, on Sunday 18th April at 4.00 p.m., the Japanese animated fantasy “Princess Mononoke” will focus on the struggle between the supernatural guardians of a forest and the humans who destroy its resources.
The projections will be held at the Hotel Il Chiostro in Intra at 9.00 p.m. (except on 18th April).
