Prünent is a wine made from the grapes growing in an ancient vineyard in the village of Trontano near Domodossola. This wine, which has affinities with the Nebbiolo produced near Novara, is the classic wine of the Ossola area, and was documented as early as the 14th century.

Prünent is bright, garnet red with orange highlights, and has an intense, wide and embracing bouquet. Its vigorous, full-bodied, round flavour goes well with the traditional cuisine of the Ossola valleys.
