The Gorgonzola of Varese is a soft, creamy, blue-veined cheese, with a distinctive, slightly sharp flavour.
Made of milk from Varese, its production follows rigid standards of milk collection and maturation. The cheese bears the PDO (Protected designation of origin) label, certified in Italy and the European Union.
Varese is one of the few provinces authorised to produce Gorgonzola, and guarantees the quality of this classic cheese starting from the raw materials used.
