The first holes of this course, all par 3, were created in 1964. The course became a regular 9-holer in 1974. Today, the Pian di Sole Golf Club boasts a competition calendar packed with top national events.
The club enjoys a beautiful location on the edge of the Val Grande National Park, the largest area of natural wilderness in the Italian Alps, and affords splendid views over Lake Maggiore on one side and over the nine four-thousand metre peaks of the Monte Rosa and Mischabel ranges on the other.
