This year further tours round the Ossola valleys are offered. The 4th edition of the Meitza Lauf, the non- competitive snowshoes walk organized by the Pro Loco Formazza, is starting on March 14th 2010 in the Alta Formazza.

The astonishing winter set of the piana di Riale (1.700 metres) will host this event to which every year more and more participants take part. The starting point is at the Piazzale del Centro Fondo di Riale and from here on you can reach the Morasco dam (1743 metres) and walk on until the Furculti Alp (1890 metres).

Once they get to the mountain- top the participants will walk down the mountain towards the piana della Frua and will then get back to the starting point. This year the Meitza Lauf is part of the races of the "Circuito ossolano Neveazzurra 2010". At 3.oo p.m. the winner will be awarded and given the "Neveazzurra 2010" trophy.
