On the occasion of Sant Ambrose, patron saint of the town of Stresa, the traditional Christmas markets are scheduled for Monday 7th December. The day offers a rich programme of appointments.

It begins at 10am in Piazza Cadorna with the opening of the Marzio Ostini Nursery market and the opening of Santa's Grotto for children. A classical music concert (free admission) is scheduled at 2.30pm in the parish of San Vittore on the Isola Pescatori.

Music will also be at the forefront during the evening with the wind Orchestra concert "Ancient music by the fire-fighters of Turin" at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Stresa (free admission, concert starts at 9pm)
