Once again the "Cara Suna" association and the Verbania Council, have created a rich programme of initiatives to celebrate Saint Lucia Feast Day.

It all starts on the evening of Thursday 11th December 2009 in the Church on the Pallanza lakefront with vocal concerts by the choirs Verbania "La piana" from Verbania, "Motta rossa" from Magognino and Ghevio fortress (Church of Saint Lucia - Suna - 21: 00 h).

The celebrations continue on Saturday 12 December 2009 from 9am onwards with the opening of the Saint Lucia Market on the lakefront. The afternoon will be brought to life in the form of games for children and the distribution of hot chocolate as well as the traditional torchlight procession along the streets of Suna.

In the Hall in Palazzo Cioia you can admire an exhibition of the work of painter Maria Agosti with creations from "The magic brush". The traditional markets continue on Sunday 13th December, again starting at 9am, whereas at 10.30am you can see a performance by the Casale Corte Cerro band. There will also be room for sport with the first Santa Lucia Trophy, a canoeing and rowing race organised by the sports centre. At 11am on the waters of the Lake.
