The long awaited event in Baveno, Un salto nel passato (a step back in time) returns for the 2009 edition with a new look. This special day brings the town centre and participants back in time to re-live the atmosphere of past eras.

For an entire day,on sunday 2oth of December, visitors can walk through the Old Town, along a route which is illuminated only by torchlight, offering a unique atmosphere, made up of flavours and colours of the past and music and images that throw us back in time. Characters in costume and particular scenes will give visitors an idea of the ancient jobs and various stores that characterised Baveno in the 18th and 19th Centuries.

Food and drink will also have their say with the numerous inns open which will offer simple and tasty dishes, as traditions would have it. To further enhance this edition of Salto nel passato visitors can buy products with coins made specifically for this event.
