The Feast of San Giulio, the patron of Orta, will be celebrated on Tuesday 31st January 2012.

The doors of the convent of Benedictine nuns, which is located on the island of Lake Orta, will remain open for the distribution of bread, traditionally linked to the celebration of the saint.

From 9 am to 5.30 pm there will be a speedboat shuttle service between the island and the mainland.

The occasion will be perfect to visit the island and admire the Romanesque Basilica.
