NewsTraccia bianca 2010
Snow shoes on your feet, enthusiasm and the desire to surround yourself in a natural paradise are all the main ingredients you need to take part in Traccia Bianca 2010 in the Veglia Devero Nature Park. This is the sixth edition of the event that proved to be a huge success last year with over one thousand participants. Organised by the Pallanza (VB) section of the Club Alpino Italiano, Traccia Bianca will take place at Piana di Devero on Sunday 28th February 2010 and will be open to all those who would like to have a go in this non-competitive race.
Highly appreciated by nature and winter sport lovers, Traccia Bianca has become an unmissable annual event, an opportunity to submerge yourself in the uncontaminated landscape of Valle Antigorio dominated by the Alps. The walk with the snow shoes takes place over a circuit of 8km leaving and arriving in Piana di Devero.
From the departure point the walk goes to the hamlet of Crampiolo, across the frozen lake of Codelago and returning to Piana covering a total rise/fall of 250 metres. Along this route, pros and novices can surround themselves in snow covered open spaces and larch forests of the Veglia Devero Nature Park, enjoying a panorama of rare beauty.
No details have been left to chance. Prizes, in addition to awards for the first 15 men and 15 women to reach the finish line, will also be awarded to the first three groups with the largest number of enrolments to arrive.
