Walking in the snow, with snow shoes between Val d'Ossola and Val Sesia

Now a consolidated sporting activity that brings together love for nature and passion for sport, snow shoe walking will be the protagonist for a number of events within our territory.

In December Racchettando began (info: info@valsesiaincoming.it), a series of snow shoe walks scheduled mainly on Sundays during the day in order to discover the beauty of Val d'Ossola and Valsesia as well as the magic of winter nature. These vast uncontaminated areas, just a stone's throw away from the city, allow visitors to experience memorable moments submerged in the winter mountains. There will be excursions for all palates, from short simple walks to longer more difficult ones, with packed lunches

Here are the dates of Racchettando

  • Saturday 26th with Cristalli di Puncetto
  • Sunday 27th with Il Letargo della Lariceta
  • The month will come to an end with La Polvere Parlante on Wednesday 30th.

The Macugnaga Alpine Guides also offer a rich Christmas programmeì(info@guidealpinemacugnaga.it ) dedicating particular attention to snow shoe walking and propose a calendar of events entitled La tua Guida per un Buon Natale, the scheduled walks are

  • 1st January 2010 Nocturnal Snow shoe walk at the foot of Monte Rosa
  • 4th January 2010 Snow shoe walk in upper Formazza Valley
  • 6th January 2010 Snow shoe walk in Valle Quarazza
