During the month of November, in Stresa, in the heart of the Borromeo Gulf, a jury of experts will decide the winner of the prestigious and renowned Premio Stresa di Narrativa 2008. This is the 32nd edition of this highly sought after prize in the world of literature, where on Sunday 23rd November 2008 five finalists will battle it out in front of a jury of critics and a jury of readers.Since its beginning in 1976, The Stresa Narrative Prize has always been distinguished for its dynamism and in particular for its attention to the territorial situation in Piedmont and Lombardy. Following a brief period of interruption, the event found a renewed vigour becoming one of the most important literary events on the national scene.The Prize, strongly supported by the Stresa Council, The Pro-Loco Association and with the support of the Piedmont Region, will find a winner among La citta dei ragazzi by Eraldo Affinati published by Mondadori, L'equilibrio degli squali by Caterina Bonvicini published by Garzanti, L'uomo senza casa by Andrea Fazioli published by Guanda, La piu bella del mondo by Lucrezia Lerro published by Bompiani and Adele né bella né brutta by Maristella Lippolis published by Piemme.The Stresa Narrative Prize will be awarded on Sunday 23rd November at 17.00 at the Hotel Regina Palace.
